School Strategic Plan and Policies
Maraetai Beach School Strategic Plan outlines our shared vision for the future, to grow a connected community of confident and curious lifelong learners. It is a commitment to creating an environment where every learner feels a sense of belonging, is valued, and is culturally recognised.
The plan reflects a deliberate and collaborative effort between the Maraetai Beach School Board, staff, and Senior Leadership Team (SLT), shaped through meaningful engagement with our community in 2025. Input from staff workshops, whānau hui and community surveys, ensures this plan is grounded in the experiences, perspectives, and aspirations of those we serve.
A key focus has been the long-term future of our learners. We considered the changing educational landscape, the introduction of a new curriculum, insights from students, staff, and whānau to ensure our direction reflects both our community and our commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
We believe this approach will support our learners to be confident, connected, and curious individuals, empowered with the knowledge and skills to succeed in an ever-changing world.

Maraetai Beach School Vision, Goals and Values
Maraetai Beach School Policies and Procedures
The Maraetai Beach School Policies and Procedures can be accessed through School Docs. The school works on a subscription basis with SchoolDocs to maintain, update, and review our policies. SchoolDocs provides us with a comprehensive core set of policies which have been well researched and follow the Ministry of Education National Administration Guidelines. The policies and procedures are tailored to our school, and the school supplies specific information such as our charter, and procedures for behaviour management, reporting to parents, etc.
SchoolDocs updates, modifies, or creates policies in response to changes in legislation or Ministry guidelines, significant events, reviews/requests from schools, and regular reviewing from the SchoolDocs team. Our board of trustees has the opportunity to view changes/additions and comment on them before they are implemented. We will advise you when policies are up for review and how you can take part in the review.
