Academic
At Maraetai Beach School, we provide an exciting and future-focused curriculum that gives effect to Te Mātaiaho (the refreshed New Zealand Curriculum). Our learning programmes are designed to be knowledge-rich, ensuring every student has a clear pathway to understand, know, and do as they progress through their schooling.
We have high expectations for all learners, utilising evidence-based teaching practices and the Science of Learning to ensure academic success. While Literacy and Numeracy are the cornerstones of our curriculum, we provide a holistic education where Science, Technology, the Arts, and Health & Physical Education are integrated through authentic, localised learning experiences.
